IMSC 2019 will include poster sessions, general oral sessions and key note talks on the topic of statistical climatology.

The sessions of the conference are:
Climaterecords: data homogenization, dataset creation, and uncertainty
Paleoclimate:proxy reconstructions and analysis of past changes
Statisticalissues working with large datasets and model outputs
Space-timestatistics for modeling and analyzing climate variability
Weather/climatepredictability and forecast evaluation
Statisticsfor climate models, ensemble design, uncertainty quantification, model tuning
Statisticaland machine learning in climate science
Long-termD&A and emergent constraints on future climate projections
Attributionand analysis of single weather events
Changesin extremes including temperature, hydrologic, and multivariate compound
events
Extremevalue analysis for climate applications
Fromglobal change to regional impacts, downscaling and bias correction
Interactionsof weather and climate with human and natural systems
Othertopics of statistical climatology

Prospective authors are invited to submit an abstract related to any of the topics listed above (max. 500 words). Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
